School Registered Nurse (Sign-on bonus offered!)

The Trellis School https://www.trellisschool.com/ is seeking a School Registered Nurse to join our growing team, reporting directly to the Education Director.  The School Registered Nurse will provide care and oversight to the health needs of all students in The Trellis School. 

• Location:14550 York Rd, Suite A Sparks, MD 21152
• Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:45am-3:45pm 
• Offering $1,500 sign-on bonus!

• Provide first aid for injury and illness
• Administer medicine to students as needed during the school day
• Conduct health assessment to adhere to attendance policies
• Develop care plans for students with chronic health care needs
• Maintain school health records
• Coordinates with families and health care providers regarding medical needs and medicine updates
• Monitor implementation of crisis intervention strategies as indicated in The Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR)
• Review student records for contraindications of crisis intervention strategies
• Assess student wellbeing and possibility for injuries following crisis events
• Collaborate with educational team members on student behavior intervention plans

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
• At least one year experience in a school setting preferred
• Registered Nurse by Maryland Board of Nursing

Supervisory Responsibility:

• Delegate to a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within the school who will be part of the care team
• Assist with staff training in CPR and other workplace hazards
